For Mothers' Day, Tamara tells her
compelling story in Swerve Magazine

This Mother’s Day, as I eagerly await the annual bounty of crafts made with love

by stubby, glue-stained fingers, I find myself wondering, What about the

In an amazing show of solidarity for one of our own, Calgary's media came out in force to show support for Tamara and for the cause that has become #teamtamarayyc.

Here are the stories that appeared across Calgary from the Calgary Herald, the Calgary Sun, CTV Calgary, Global Calgary, Metro Calgary and 660 News when Tamara first received her difficult diagnosis.

#TeamTamaraYYC Community Comes Together

When we lost Tamara on May 29th, 2015, the Calgary media community once again rallied to show support for Heath and their kids and for #teamtamarayyc.

With heavy hearts, we took part in the Calgary Marathon on May 31st, 2015 and raised nearly $9,000 for the Alberta Cancer Foundation in Tamara's name. Here are stories from our media friends and partners on our 5K walk. Thank you to everyone who has supported Tamara's family. IN TAMARA'S WORDS

Tamara Story:
Before and After

"Go now," she whispered.

"Don't wait to eat breakfast."

That's when my life
started slipping away

piece by piece.

IN HEATH'S WORDS

Keep fighting, my love. Shine on.
